  • Commemorating Parkland HS Tragedy

    In honor of the young people and educators who lost their lives in Parkland Florida, Mark Twain’s Social Awareness Club will be coordinating students to gather together, tomorrow, in memoriam at 10:00 am in the circle area adjacent to the school.  Students will be joined by several staff members during this event.  Together we commemorate their lives and the safety of all children.  If you wish for your child to participate, please contact our Parent Coordinator.

    You can download the letter from Chancellor Farína on the subject here.

    Survey Update

    This information comes straight from the DOE: "We are aware that some schools are experiencing issues loading the online survey. This issue is high priority and we are working urgently to resolve it. We will follow up with updated information as soon as the issue is resolved.

    In the meantime, if students, teachers, or families at your school experience a delayed connection or receive an error message when attempting to access the survey, they can try the following:

    Access the online survey using the links on nycschoolsurvey.org. Using a link that is not up-to-date will result in a delayed connection or an error message;
    Wait a few minutes and then refresh the browser; or
    Switch to a different browser. Recommended browsers are: Google Chrome (versions 35-36), Internet Explorer (versions 8-11), Firefox (versions 31-55), and Safari (versions 7-11)."
